Krista Saarinen, Experienced Fraud Manager

Krista Saarinen is a long-serving fraud manager who has more than 25 years of experience. She is a well-known specialist within the anti-fraud community, respected for her ability to explain the issues to a wide variety of audiences, drawing upon her deep knowledge of fraud and the other risks that impact communications providers.

Krista was formerly the Director of Fraud Management at Canadian operator Rogers, where she oversaw the wireless, cable and home phone loss prevention teams, and was responsible for day to day operations of fraud prevention, detection, real-time monitoring of the network, and fraud systems administration. In this role Krista was responsible for both leading the anti-fraud effort within Rogers and coordinating with relevant external parties such as vendors and industry peers.

Krista has also served as the Vice chair of the GSMA Fraud and Security Group. She is a champion of collaboration between telcos, making active contributions to the fraud, risk and revenue management working groups of the CFCA and TM Forum.

Krista graduated as a Bachelor of Technology from Ryerson University.
