Lourenço Francisco (left) and Tanki Letuka (right) of Vodacom Mozambique spoke at RAG Johannesburg 2019 about the use of automated vicinity checks on the location of mobile phones used for different transactions. They showed how these checks can be used to prevent dealer commission fraud and other kinds of fraud. The audience was impressed by the simplicity but power of the methods they described.
