Mike Morley-Fletcher is the Head of Risk & Assurance at Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the largest charities in the UK. In total he has spent over two decades in risk, assurance, change and project management roles.
Mike is a seasoned risk and audit professional with a proven ability to engage businesses in protecting their assets and improving their performance. Having worked both in house and as an external adviser, he is well practised at driving change throughout organisations, particularly with Boards, executives and project teams. He has a strong track record of establishing innovative risk management functions, creating and enabling solutions and embedding sustainable behaviours in blue chip global businesses. Mike has also worked in many parts of the world, facilitating leadership and project teams and interacting with core support functions, such as strategy, programme/change management, finance, insurance, business continuity and internal audit.
Prior to joining Macmillan, Mike was Head of Risk & Assurance for the UK’s Post Office. He has also held senior risk management roles at Diageo, and at Marks and Spencer. As a consultant he has given advice to a wide variety of organisations including Oxford University Press, New Look Retailers, Essentra, British Airways, SAB Miller, John Lewis, Honda, AstraZeneca, Vodafone, BAT, Shell and EDF.
Mike is a qualified Chartered Accountant and he graduated with a BA in History.
