To cope with the increasing workload generated by its expanding worldwide program of conferences and events, the Risk & Assurance Group (RAG) has appointed Sara Whitwell to the new role of RAG Conference and Meetings Coordinator. Sara’s contribution will be pivotal to the growth of RAG, upgrading the support given to speakers, sponsors and hosts of RAG events globally, and serving as a central point of contact for attendees.
Sara (pictured right) is an experienced marketing professional. She has an extensive network in telecoms risk and assurance thanks to her long period of service at Neural Technologies, specialist software vendors and one of the Foundation sponsors of RAG. Sara’s profile includes more information about her role and career history.
Commenting on her appointment, Sara said the following:
Joining the RAG team as their Conference and Meeting Coordinator is an exciting opportunity for me, and I relish the prospect of working with leading telecoms risk and assurance professionals from all around the world. The energy and enthusiasm at RAG events is infectious, and I was attracted by the chance to play a hands-on role in driving the popularity of RAG across every continent.
I was a sponsor of RAG when I was responsible for the marketing of Neural Technologies, and I’ve been impressed by the way RAG has evolved from a regular UK-based event to an organisation that now has the confidence and appeal to engage with top experts globally. RAG has established an enviable reputation in its field, and I look forward to working with the diverse range of people who contribute to every RAG event, many of whom I know already thanks to my time at Neural Technologies.
It is my belief that RAG are building a tremendous network of professionals who will raise the standards of work and education for risk and assurance managers in telcos. I share RAG’s ambitions and I’m keen to play my part in achieving them.
Rob Chapman, RAG Chairman, had the following to say about Sara’s appointment:
RAG had reached the stage where it needed to expand its core team in order to keep growing the scale and the number of events we run. When we realised that Sara was willing to work with us, it was an easy decision to appoint her and to task her with managing coordination between all the sponsors, speakers and hosts who support our events. We’ve always enjoyed working with her before, and she shares our vision for how to better telecoms risk and assurance. Sara is very well-known in our industry circles, and she has the right skills to lift RAG to the next level. RAG is very fortunate to have Sara join our team.
