SIGOS Joins Elite Sponsors of the Risk & Assurance Group

SIGOS, the worldwide leader in automated active end-to-end telecommunications testing, has agreed to become the fifth and final 2017 Foundation sponsor of the Risk & Assurance Group (RAG). They join four other market leaders in providing financial backing for RAG’s international conference and education program.

RAG launched its 2017 Foundation sponsorship round with the intention of finding five elite providers of communications risk and assurance products and services who were willing to join forces to support the development of professionals and to grow the market worldwide. Reaching agreement with SIGOS has completed that sponsorship round, and ensures RAG has the finances for its ambitious 2017 schedule of events.

SIGOS’ decision to become a Foundation sponsor means they will participate in all of RAG’s international conferences during 2017. They join an elite group of supporters that contains four other businesses that also lead the market: Neural Technologies, WeDo Technologies, Subex, and Cartesian.

Rob Chapman, Chairman of RAG, welcomed the support of SIGOS:

We are thrilled to have SIGOS as our final Foundation sponsor. They run a highly respected global business that covers, amongst other things, testing for revenue assurance, billing verification and fraud prevention, which are all topics that matter greatly to RAG members. SIGOS is also a leading provider of testing for service assurance and quality, and we believe these areas will be of increasing importance to all risk and assurance professionals as traditional telcos transform themselves into digital service providers.

RAG places great importance on diversity, whether that means pooling the expertise of professionals who work on every continent, encouraging the participation of each kind of communications provider at our events, or appreciating all of the wide range of tools and techniques that can be used to mitigate risk. SIGOS will help us to achieve our diversity goals because their strength in test call services will complement the areas of expertise of our other Foundation sponsors, and because SIGOS has hundreds of telco customers all over the world, including most of the world’s top 100 operators. We want to work with SIGOS to encourage more investment in the assurance teams that work inside telcos, and in the cost-effective outsourcing of services supplied by experts like SIGOS.

The RAG Committee considers this sponsorship deal with SIGOS to be a win-win-win: a win for RAG, for SIGOS, and for all professionals working in communications risk and assurance.

Steffen Öftring, who oversees the revenue assurance service line for SIGOS, explained why they chose to sponsor RAG:

SIGOS, the world’s leading provider of test call services, is proud to become an annual Foundation sponsor of the Risk & Assurance Group. SIGOS looks forward to participating and contributing to the RAG conferences planned for Britain, Europe, Africa and AsiaPac.

The RAG meetings are a unique forum for revenue assurance professionals to meet and share both ideas and concerns. The rising participation levels and increasingly global approach highlights the success and importance of these meetings to operators and vendors alike. Active end-to-end testing is not yet used by all mobile network operators to assure their revenue, and RAG meetings are a natural venue to discuss and promote this essential part of any risk management strategy.
